"The" is a homemade instrument that I designed to recreate my memories. With it, I control and manipulate field recordings I made over the last decade. It is named after my grandfather-in-law, whose nickname was “the” and whose wood-shop I built it in.
“For Richard Wakeham” is an elegy for Papa, my Grandfather-in-law. It is composed of recordings of the woodshop he left me and Sam, the accordion that his wife gave me, and his backyard in Oceanside.

“Mithraeum” is a sound collage comprised of recordings taken in Rome, Santorini, and Athens in the winter of 2017. The bulk of these recordings were taken in a variety of caves and crypts including a mithraeum in Rome and a very weird cave that we found inside our flat in Santorini.
